Aylesham Carnival relies heavily on the generosity of members of the community along with sponsorship from local businesses.

If you would like to become a sponsor to the Association then you may be asking a few questions:-

What will my business get out of it?	Your business will be advertised here on the Website, you will be advertised on the back of the Carnival Float when we attend Carnivals all over Kent, and you will also be in the Carnival Programme at our Carnival in September.
How Much should I donate?	This is entirely up to you, we have below 4 options, one of which may be of interest to you, if not then please speak to us to discuss.
How Many Carnivals Do you Attend	Over the last season we attended around 15-20 carnivals, and these are all over the South East of England, our Court is on show at each carnival we attend and some of the larger carnivals, for example, Deal, Dover, Canterbury have thousands of people watching. But What are they looking at? The spectators are not just looking at the court members but they are looking at the float and also at the back of the float where your name will be.
Where else did you say you advertise us?	Not only will you be advertised at our carnival, but on route to and at Carnivals that we are visiting, your sponsorship will be visible on the rear of the float, so as you can imagine travelling to Sittingbourne, Sheppey and Bromley for example, people are inquisitive to see what the vehicle is while in transit and your name will be on display also. You are also displayed on our website, and this has several links to external sites not to mention the external links that are linked to us

If there is not an option to suit you then please contact us and we can discuss another arrangement, the values shown above is an indication of the values that we would like for each option, the carnival costs around £1500-£2000 per year to run and this is done by volunteers and is done for the community.

Our court are not involved with carnival just to win awards but to promote the village and enjoy themselves along the way.

Here is a breakdown of some of the costs that are involved with carnival.

Insurance costs:- £900 per year (our largest cost)

Queens Float –

Building and maintaining £500 pear year

Travelling for carnivals £300

Court Dresses and evening wear £600

Administration costs postage etc £150

The list goes on and on, but hopefully this gives you an idea about what is partly involved with carnival, remember the group of people shown on the right of this letter volunteer to do this for the community of Aylesham and also the neighbouring carnivals that we attend, we do it because we enjoy it.

There’s no better feeling than when you are attending a large carnival like deal with 60+ other floats for someone in the crowd to shout out “Go Aylesham you show them” when we get noticed over all those other floats there and that’s great. The court themselves compete against other carnival associations and last year we managed to win around 15 awards, so a big well done to our court of 2005.
