80 years of Aylesham Carnivals Where You Miss Aylesham or a Princess in 1952? Where you a coal queen? Do you know anyone who was one?
If the answer is yes to any of the above then we would like to hear from you. We are in the process of compiling the history of Aylesham Carnival and Kent Coal Queens from the village. If you know anyone who was one, or if you have any photographs of past carnivals then we would like to see them. We know that Aylesham Carnival started around 1929 but we would like to see what happened in between then and now. We know the following young ladies have been on the court but we do not have dates, can anyone help?
The above 37 people we are aware that you were court members, who was crowned with you, what year? Do you have any pictures? If you are able to help then please send an email with the information you have or click here to send the message to us. With your permission we would also like to take a scan of your photo so that we can publish it on the website and at a future reunion event that we are planning for later in the year.
